Juvia's Place Ad Concept

During my Raster Graphics class, I was assigned to create print and digital ads for a company of our choice, using our own photography. I chose a cosmetic company called ‘Juvia’s Place', known for its vibrant eyeshadow palettes. The message I wanted to portray was that their makeup is long-lasting. From there, I decided to create the campaign revolving around festival-goers wearing Juvia’s Place makeup that last throughout the day and night. I brought on board two make-up artists and four models for the photoshoot. We took pictures in a desert area for the ‘day’ scene and an arcade for the ‘night’ scene.
I brought the images onto Photoshop and added the ferris wheel in the back using a mask tool and blend mode. I adjusted the picture with camera raw settings, adjustment layers, and dodge and burned tools for the night scene ad. After creating the photo manipulation, I imported the graphics into InDesign to put a catchphrase on the poster ads and the logo on both the poster and digital ads.
